About our network

We are an open network comprising various initiatives and working groups from universities located across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and beyond.

• We are united by the topic of biodiversity and its promotion at our university locations.
• We pursue goals with different emphases, focusing on the design, promotion, and support of biodiversity on campus, in cities, and across regions, as part of the United Nations Agenda 2030 for sustainable development.
• We exchange and pool knowledge, insights, and experience relating to biodiversity.
• We are committed to sustainability goals and make a significant contribution to the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
• We are keen to engage in joint activities to conserve biological diversity, sustainably use its components, and ensure the fair sharing of the benefits arising from the utilisation of biological resources.
• We encourage and support each other in public relations and through collaborative exchange, adding value and enhancing effectiveness.
